Kimber Chin

I started my art career as a mixed media acrylic painter, and transitioned to fiber art as an extension of painting with wool. Felting is like painting where the paints are the fibers and the placement is the magic. It is a natural extension of the same color and texture choices I used to make when painting, but now translated to merino, silk, bamboo and other specialty fibers.
My work is very organic, following the nature of the ingredients, wispy, with holes, but sturdy like a survivor

I’m also a late-stage cancer survivor who brings the wisdom of a second chance at life to everything I do.

I have three kids and two grandkids, and live in Rocklin with my partner Alan and our two rescue dogs.
