Profile
The Rocklin Fine Arts organization is growing with enthusiastic local artists from Rocklin and beyond. RFA seeks ways to create a cultural infusion into the community by promoting fine arts appreciation in the City of Rocklin. Rocklin Fine Arts endeavors to accomplish this through the promotion and participation of our members in exhibits, art demonstrations, lectures, workshops, support of our local artists, arts in public places, and art shows. Our Annual Membership Show is a highly regarded art event in the area, and the RFA Juried Art Show (formerly the Snowflake Show), open and juried to all artists, is looked forward to by artists, students and parents. The annual RFA-Jarrett Visual Fine Arts scholarship is awarded at the annual RFA Student Art Show held every spring.
Rocklin Fine Arts Meetings are held the 3rd Thursday of each month, except August and December. RFA MEETINGS ARE HELD AT THE ROCKLIN EVENT CENTER 2650 Sunset Blvd in Rocklin, (Rm 107 for the meetings – enter from the back of the building), from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon.
Sketchcrawls are held the 1st Thursday of each month.
An informal meet-up of artists in an interesting local place. Participants bring something to draw with and something to draw on, or a camera. Sketchcrawls typically start in the morning, last about two hours and are followed by a show-and-tell lunch. Sketchcrawl locations are normally announced only a few weeks in advance, so for information about current activities, please visit our Facebook page, or add your name to our mailing list on our rocklinfinearts.org website.
