This is a free event; however, donations help make these activities possible! Placer Land Trust suggests a donation of $10 per person or $25 for a family. You can donate during registration, and we’re happy to accept cash or a check at the event in an envelope with your name written on it.

Parents and caregivers, let us handle the set-up and clean-up so that you and your child can unleash your inner artist and self-expression!
Bring your family into the gallery on the First Saturday of each month to enjoy an art project as a family- drop-in arts and crafts activities are a great way for children to explore their creativity and dabble in a variety of different art mediums.
A Blue Line Arts team member will be on site to walk you through the steps of creating the project. Each month, a new project and art activity will be featured and inspired by the themes currently on display in the gallery. All materials, supplies and instruction will be provided.

Trails & Vistas is happy to announce that we will be returning to the Royal Gorge Cross Country Ski Resort for our 2025 Art Hike.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 12th and Sunday, July 13th. The Royal Gorge Cross Country Ski Resort is on Donner Summit, just 15 minutes west of Truckee. Stay tuned for up-to-date event information and event announcements for 2025.

As always, we are offering our specialty hikes such as our Mindfulness Hikes for adults at the 9:00 am tour, Relaxed tours for families with young hikers at 10:00 am and 10:20 am tours, Leisure Hikes for participants who’d like a bit of a slower pace at 11:40 am, as well as other tour times.
If you prefer a Private Art Hike experience, you may book a Private Pod for 1 to 16 people for $1,400. To book a Private Pod, email Trails & Vistas' Executive Director, Veronica Derrick, veronica@trailsandvistas.org by April 15th. Private Pods are a wonderful experience for a group of friends or family, for business team-building experiences, or for other non-profit organizations.

Parents and caregivers, let us handle the set-up and clean-up so that you and your child can unleash your inner artist and self-expression!
Bring your family into the gallery on the First Saturday of each month to enjoy an art project as a family- drop-in arts and crafts activities are a great way for children to explore their creativity and dabble in a variety of different art mediums.
A Blue Line Arts team member will be on site to walk you through the steps of creating the project. Each month, a new project and art activity will be featured and inspired by the themes currently on display in the gallery. All materials, supplies and instruction will be provided.

Trails & Vistas is happy to announce that we will be returning to the Royal Gorge Cross Country Ski Resort for our 2025 Art Hike.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 12th and Sunday, July 13th. The Royal Gorge Cross Country Ski Resort is on Donner Summit, just 15 minutes west of Truckee. Stay tuned for up-to-date event information and event announcements for 2025.

As always, we are offering our specialty hikes such as our Mindfulness Hikes for adults at the 9:00 am tour, Relaxed tours for families with young hikers at 10:00 am and 10:20 am tours, Leisure Hikes for participants who’d like a bit of a slower pace at 11:40 am, as well as other tour times.
If you prefer a Private Art Hike experience, you may book a Private Pod for 1 to 16 people for $1,400. In this fun and beginner-friendly crochet class, kids ages 9 to 12 will learn the basics of crochet through simple and engaging projects. Over five days, they’ll explore fundamental stitches like chain stitch, single crochet, and slip stitch while creating small, hands-on projects such as bracelets, coasters, or a small plushie. Using colorful yarn and easy-to-hold crochet hooks, students will develop fine motor skills, patience, and creativity in a relaxed and encouraging environment. With plenty of guidance and support, they’ll gain confidence in working with yarn and hooks while discovering the joy of handmade crafts. No prior experience is needed—just a love for creativity and a willingness to learn!

1st Saturday Drop in Activity Day for Families - December

Parents and caregivers, let us handle the set-up and clean-up so that you and your child can unleash your inner artist and self-expression!
Bring your family into the gallery on the First Saturday of each month to enjoy an art project as a family- drop-in arts and crafts activities are a great way for children to explore their creativity and dabble in a variety of different art mediums.
A Blue Line Arts team member will be on site to walk you through the steps of creating the project. Each month, a new project and art activity will be featured and inspired by the themes currently on display in the gallery. All materials, supplies and instruction will be provided.
Family Level Member’s Hour | 11AM-12PM
Family level members and above are invited to participate during an exclusive hour from 11AM-12PM. These membership tiers are still welcome to come any time during the event.
General Admission | 12PM-2PM
RSVP is required so that we can anticipate how many art supplies to provide.
