Gold Country Writers

Gold Country Writers is an organization of 90 authors and writers meeting weekly. The specific purpose is to offer education, support, and resources to writers and the community as a whole. The organization encourages writers of all levels and disciplines. GCW benefits the entire community with author connections, new books, and events for the public. The organization has been meeting every week for 10 years. On the third Wednesday of each month a speaker presents a program that is open free to the public. It is filmed and available on our YouTube channel through the website www.goldcountrywriters.com. The Arts Council of Placer County has awarded the organization a 2023 grant for the presentation of a 1500-word Short Story Contest open to the public.
