Nicole Stirling

Nicole Stirling exhibits a fervor for vibrant colors, intricate details, and geometric patterns. Raised in Lake Tahoe, her work draws inspiration from the surrounding lake, mountains, forest, and wildlife. Despite initially majoring in music during college, Nicole consistently pursued painting and drawing classes, ultimately embracing her identity as an artist.

Her artistic journey commenced with oil paintings on large canvases, marked by consistently circular artwork that evolved into concentric and repetitive paintings. In 2014, she delved into the study and creation of mandalas, influenced by sacred geometry, global cultural motifs, and architectural elements. Nicole views both the process and the finished artwork as a meditative and mindful exploration.

Expanding her artistic horizons, Nicole explores realms of movement, psychedelia, and dimension in her work. Notably, she experiments with 3D chromadepth painting, providing viewers with 3D glasses at her shows for an immersive experience. Operating from her home studio in Lake Tahoe, Nicole collaborates with her family in various aspects, from cutting stretcher bars to organizing pop-up events.

As the proud proprietor of Chickadee Art Collective in Kings Beach, a retail shop and gallery showcasing local artists from the Tahoe Truckee and Reno region, Nicole continues to make a significant impact in the art community.
