Poets Club of Lincoln

The Poets Club of Lincoln invites poets and lovers of poetry to its monthly Open Mics. The Open Mics are held on the second Sunday of the month, January through April, June through September, and November each year between 3:00 and 5:00 PM, at The Salt Mine, located at 590 Lincoln Blvd., Lincoln. We do not compete with Mother’s Day or Easter and hold Open Mics on the third Sunday instead. In 2024, the May Open Mic will be held on May 19th. There is no Open Mic held in October as that time is reserved for the Voices of Lincoln Poetry Contest Winners Special Event. There is no Open Mic held in December due to the holidays.

The first hour is given over to a featured poet. The second hour is devoted to poets in the audience, who may read up to three poems. We are open to poets and the public of all ages, dispositions, and tastes. We have held Open Mics in the Lincoln, CA area since 2004.

At this time, the featured poets are as follows: April 14, Sally Rooney; May 19, Louise Moises; June 9, Jeff Ewing, and July 14, Bethanie Humphreys. Guest poets for August, September, and November are TBA.
